* Open Walk/Talk Tests – For Riders who wish to continue in Walk/Trot as they or the horse is not ready to canter. There is not a time limit for the division.
**Open Freestyle – . Each rider results will be used to establish standings as this will be ribboned as one class. There will not be a Champion or Reserve for Freestyle.

Conditions of Entry:
Please make cheques payable to Windsor-Essex Cadora and be dated for no later than the competitions entry due date. Postdated Cheques are not acceptable. * A charge will be applied for returned cheques for any reason.
Entries must be mailed or hand delivered to Mary McCarthy, 2070 Batten Side Road, Essex Ontario, N8M 2X6.
Entries may also be delivered to both Trainer's Choice and Greenhawk Equestrian Stores on Howard Ave. and Cty Rd. #8
Entries must be signed with pen ink. E-signature or copied signature are not accepted and will be considered an incomplete entry.
Entry Fees are $25.00 per class except leadline which is $20.00 for the division.
An incomplete fee of $10.00 will be applied to any entry received that is not complete for any reason.
All Non-members are required to pay a non-member fee of $15.00 per entry.
No horse substitution is allowed without discretion of the Show Coordinator.
Each horse may only be ridden in a total of 6 tests no matter the amount of riders using the horse.
A fee of $10.00 will be applied to any entry asking for a class change.
If space is available and a late entry is accepted a late fee of $10.00 will be applied.
Times will be available the Wednesday prior to show date after 6:00 pm.
Dogs are not allowed. Please leave your canine at home.
Parking is allowed in designated areas only. Please do not park trailers on grassed areas.
No smoking anywhere on the host venue’s property.
Mounted riding is permitted in designated areas only during the show, please use marked warm up areas only. Lunging in designated areas only.
Every horse entered for competition will be under the control of the show management, but the horse show management will, in no case, be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur.
Each exhibitor shall hold the Horse Show and its Directors harmless for any loss or accident to his/her horse, horses, or equipment which may occur from sickness, fire or otherwise.
Numbers will not be issued without the full payment and completed entries, including signatures.
Competition numbers must be worn at all times by horse/rider. A $5.00 deposit will be applied to the entry and will be returned, when number has been returned.
When divisions have less than three entries, show management reserves the right to combine divisions and pin them as one class
Horse show management reserves the right to itself to interpret all questions and conditions in regard to or arising out of any incident in the show without claims for damages or recourse of any kind. All questions not covered in these rules and regulations shall be decided by the Horse Show Management; their decision will be final.
The show management reserved itself the right to refuse, accept conditionally, or to cancel any entries, disqualify riders or prohibit exhibition of entries and cancel award prizes, without claim to damages; to change or cancel, or combine any classes after due notice to exhibitors, or to change rings or rotate judges.
Green horses may not cross enter into any other division.
Starter riders may not cross enter into any other division.
It is the purpose of the management to run the competition at the highest possible level. The management uses the utmost care to select judges with broad experience and knowledge. The judge’s decision in the show ring is their own responsibility and the management accepts no responsibility for those decisions. Judge’s decisions are final.

Scoring and Placement – Per Article 9.10.10 – When there is only one horse in a class, ribbons and prizes shall be awarded in accordance with the following chart of percentages: 1st 60% or higher, 2nd57% to 59.9%, 3rd54% to 56.9%, 4th 51% to 53.9%. No ribbons or prizes shall be awarded below 4th position.
Champions at Non-Champion Competitions – Per article E9.11.4/5/6 – Champion and Reserve Champion must be established by totalling the horse/rider combination percentages achieved in the designated classes. Top two scores to count at each level/division. The competitor with the highest total will be named champion. The competitor with the second highest total will be named reserve champion. In the event of a tie, the rider with the highest single percentage score is declared the winner. In the event that category (Jr/Am/Open) classes are not offered, a category championship may be offered, based on results obtained in the open classes.
Protective headgear must be worn when mounted on show grounds.
Tests for the Schooling Show are available from the WE Cadora Omnibus and Website.
Cancellations may be made up until the closing date of the competition without penalty (entire entry minus the office fee). After the closing date, a veterinary or medical certificate (on official Letterhead) is required for entry fees to be refunded. The veterinary or medical certificate must be presented within 15 days of the cancelled competition in order to receive a refund. If you are unable to compete for other reasons, entry fees cannot be refunded.
Exhibitors have the responsibility of informing the competition coordinator of their intention to scratch.
All “No Shows” that have not contacted the show office prior to their first ride will be considered a scratch for the rest of the show and time slots may be filled.
Windsor-Essex Cadora regrets that refunds cannot be issued for classes cancelled due to inclement weather conditions, acts of God, accidents, or emergencies.

Under the Equine Activity Liability Act, each participant who participates in an equine activity expressly assumes the risks of engaging in and legal responsibility for injury, loss, or damage to person or property resulting from the risk of equine activities.
Limiting Entries: We will try to accommodate all competitors, but if necessary Windsor-Essex Cadora reserves the right to limit entries. The following process will be followed:
A random draw of Windsor-Essex Cadora member entries will be held until available time slots are filled or all Windsor-Essex Cadora members have been accommodated.
Should any time slots remain a random draw of non-Windsor-Essex Cadora member entries will be held until all available time slots are filled.
